Tuition Centre
Manonmani Trust has been successfully running a free tuition centre that is attended by around 65+ students attend every day after school. In addition to a part-time teacher, residents of Anbagam also volunteer at the tuition centre to help students in their academic endeavours.
During the COVID-19 lockdown, underprivileged children faced a great disadvantage as they could not afford to partake in and benefit from e-learning offered in schools. Several students who attend the Tuition Centre had not even used a smartphone or a computer device and were not familiar with such technology. In order to assist them and ensure that their education is not disrupted, Manonmani Trust has raised funds and procured 35 tablet devices, a personal computer, printer etc. and set up a modern classroom for effective online tuitions for the children. The Trust has built up a compact library for the use of the children in Tirukandalam Village with generous donations from our patrons.
Students attending our tuition classes take advantage of online resources and access to technology and enthusiastically partake in virtual classes. As part of 126 clubs formed by NGO Vanmuhil, our students are also enrolled as a club to study and understand their constitutional rights online.
